Contemplating this,
Eva Webster narrowed her eyes.
Windy Armstrong came out of the room, "Eva, I've already tidied up the room, you'll sleep here tonight."
"Who am I sleeping with tonight?" Eva Webster asked.
Windy Armstrong said, "The two of us in one room, Isla will stay with your aunt, and your brother will sleep in the living room."
Eva Webster said, "Mom, why don't I stay with Isla? It's been a while since we've caught up! You can share a room with my aunt."
Windy Armstrong thought about it and felt that was also acceptable, as she herself had things to discuss with her sister.
By late night,
Eva Webster grew even more afraid, dreading that Christina Armstrong would appear any second to find her; she clung tightly to Isla Astir, "Isla, I'm scared."
Isla Astir consoled her, "Death extinguishes life as snuffing out a candle – it's all psychological. If there really were ghosts, then it should be your uncle and aunt who are frightened, not us."
