Evelyn Sherman couldn't help but exclaim excitedly as she reached out and grabbed Chester Yale's arm.
The thought that they would soon get Sheldon Yale's incriminating evidence and bring him down excited her just as much as it did Chester.
Chester Yale hugged her and took a step back to let the locksmith move forward for a checkup.
"Mr. Chester, this kind of safe box has a self-destruct device. If it's not unlocked with a matching fingerprint, the safe box will explode," the locksmith said, causing everyone around to unconsciously take a step back.
Old Master Yale had taken deep precautions—if it wasn't one of his people opening the safe, even in his death, someone else would have to be buried with him.
"You wait here for me," Chester Yale said as he moved Evelyn to a safe area before approaching the safe box alone with the fingerprint mold.
After just a few steps, Evelyn reached out and grabbed him, "I'll go with you."
