Evelyn Sherman quickly turned her head nervously to glance at the man beside her, fearing that Chester Yale would lose his temper and beat up Lucas Scott even before the negotiation began.
But Chester Yale was much calmer than she had imagined, as if he didn't even take Lucas Scott's provocation seriously.
Considering he had left with Mr. Gomez that morning, she assumed he must have made some arrangements and felt relieved to follow him forward.
As soon as the two of them took their seats, the waiter immediately came forward respectfully and asked, "What would you like to drink?"
"Two cups of wine," Evelyn took the initiative to order for both of them, then looked up at Lucas Scott sitting in front of them.
"You've summoned us here; does that mean you're willing to hand over Attorney Lawrence to us? Can I understand it that way?"
"Yes," Lucas Scott responded succinctly, without beating around the bush.
