"Buzz buzz—" The cell phone on the table suddenly rang.
Chester Yale turned around and walked back, glanced at the caller ID on the screen, his eyes softened, and he reached out to answer the phone.
"Chester Yale, are you done with your work? Mom wants us to go check out the wedding venue," Evelyn Sherman's crisp voice came through, blowing away the gloom in his heart.
His lover was waiting for him to come home.
"Yeah, I'll head back now and pick you up," Chester Yale ended the call and turned his head to look at Mr. Gomez.
"Tell him I will only see him on his deathbed."
With those words, he placed the cell phone in his pocket, reached for his blazer, and stepped out of the office room.
