The small hand clenched into a fist, as if in anger.
Charles White was slightly startled and then realized she was dreaming.
Hearing her seeming to call out for someone, he was about to bend down to listen when he heard someone knocking on the door.
Charles furrowed his brows, their current sleeping posture, if seen by others, would likely be misunderstood.
He stretched out his hand to gently move the person in his embrace aside, making sure she was sleeping soundly before turning to leave the sickbed.
Approaching the door, he reached out and opened it.
The doctor in a white lab coat, with a stethoscope around his neck, stood at the door and immediately bowed respectfully upon seeing who had opened it.
"Young Master."
"Here, there's no need to call me Young Master, just call me Mr. White," Charles said indifferently, and after giving the order, he stepped aside to let the doctor in.
