Aidan Lucas had left not long after, and those two women who came yesterday with Lily, claiming to be Cooper I and Cooper II, now entered carrying breakfast and ginger tea.
Unlike yesterday, they no longer just set down the food and left.
Instead, they considerately helped her up, escorted her to freshen up, and then assisted her to the small sofa to eat.
Under their watchful care, Lily ate her breakfast and drank her ginger tea, finally unable to hold back the words in her heart.
She looked at Cooper I and Cooper II and couldn't help asking, "What's with your faces?"
Cooper I forced a smile and said, "Don't worry about us, Madam."
"But your faces…" Lily extended her index finger, touching the corner of her own mouth, "Right here… seem a bit odd."
It looked as if they had cramps, or as if they had had too much Botox, or something of the sort.
Cooper I and Cooper II immediately showed an expression of utter despair.
