Scarlet spent half of the hour reading her chats with Melanie and there were mixed expressions on her face. If she had the time, she would scroll to the very top and start reading from there, but she could not go on because of the guilt she felt. From Melanie's pain, she realized she has never really paid attention to what was going on with her. All she thought was that Melanie was living her life perfectly with zero worries and there was even a time she wished to have that kind of perfect life, unknown to her that it was a façade.
She dropped her phone on the table and brought her hands up to cover her face, releasing a sigh. Her phone suddenly vibrated on the table and she lowered her hands to see the alarm she had set earlier, reminding her that it was six on the dot. She stood from there and went to press a button on the wall which gave out a buzz sound. The students already know what it means and she saw them leaving one after the other with their bags hung over their shoulder.
