Damien took Scarlet out of the place and as they both walked in the forest, he noticed that she was slow in walking and he also didn't walk very fast so she could meet up, but then, he soon saw that she stopped walking and he stopped before turning to look at her.
"Damien," she called and said, "I'm tired."
Damien quickly went to her and held her hand before slowly pulling her to himself and he let her head rest on his chest where he now put his hand over her head.
Scarlet had so many things she wanted to say and ask him, but she couldn't summon the strength to do that. Instead, her thoughts went back to Adam and the reality that he was dead hit her hard again that tears now clouded her eyes and trickled down her face.
Damien took Scarlet in his arms and went to her house where he was received by her mother, Paige, who had a look of relief wash over her face and there, he also met her other friend, Melanie, who looked rather surprised to see him with Scarlet.
