Jane Sampson widened her eyes in disbelief, staring at James Black.

Jane Sampson rolled her eyes at James Black and muttered softly, "No wonder grandfather has always been worried that you wouldn't find someone to marry you. If I hadn't married you, you definitely still wouldn't have found a wife by now."
"Alright, if you're upset because of someone insignificant, then that really would be silly," James Black reached out, pulled Jane Sampson back, and pressed down on the brim of her hat.
"You attract bees and butterflies," Jane bit her lip and huffed.
"Mhm," James Black responded with a smile that was not quite a smile, not offering any further explanation.
