As expected, the prosecutor's first witness was Oscar Smith's wife, Emily Lewis.
The prosecutor was older, looking solemn and composed.
Alexander Summers said this lawyer's last name was Fabian, Jeremy Jennings's go-to attorney, who had helped Jennings escape conviction numerous times.
The lawyer said to Emily Lewis, "Mrs. Lewis, I sympathize with your ordeal. Could you describe what happened on the day your husband passed away?"
Emily Lewis replied, "It was Christmas Eve. He almost always went to the casino in Pearlpoint City during the holidays, and he did that day too. He said he'd be back for Christmas... and that he'd bring a gift for Jenny. Later, around midnight, I got a call from the police, telling me my husband was dead."
"Did the police tell you how your husband died?" the lawyer asked.
Emily Lewis nodded. "Yes, they did. He committed suicide by jumping off a building."
