"Since when has shopping and enjoying gourmet food become standards for judging whether a person is sad?" the prosecutor indignantly said. "Everyone expresses sadness differently. Under extreme distress, it isn't impossible for one to engage in reckless spending!"
"Perhaps you're right, but I think it's necessary for the jury to know whether this constitutes reckless spending and to make that judgment themselves," Purple Summers replied.
Not wanting to dwell on this point too long, the judge asked, "Does the prosecution have any more witnesses?"
The lawyer answered, "No."
"Since the facts of the case are clear, and there are no objections from either side, we will proceed directly to the closing arguments in one hour. The court is now in recess."
The judge struck the gavel, concluding a brief dispute.
