Alexander gently picked her up. Purple Summers, who was not in a deep sleep, immediately woke up. Seeing Alexander's face, she closed her eyes again, reassured.
"Let's go to bed," Alexander said as he bent down to press his forehead against hers, carrying her upstairs to the bedroom.
After tucking Purple Summers in with a light blanket and looking at her child-like sleeping face, Alexander's heart felt like it was melting.
When she wasn't pregnant, he was very anxious; now that she was, he inevitably felt nervous.
Maybe it would have been better later... Pregnancy was still too hard.
He bent down to kiss her and then got up to leave, quietly closing the door behind him.
