Purple Summers received an unexpected call from Zara Jameson before her departure to Pearlpoint City.
"Purple, can I stay with you for a while?"
Purple was truly stunned for a good moment.
Zara Jameson was a typical well-read and sensible lady who least liked to trouble others. Her sudden request was really odd.
But the voice on the phone was very calm, and Purple could not detect anything amiss.
"Zara... I won't be staying in Kingsley recently; I'm planning to move to Pearlpoint for some time," Purple tentatively said, "Why do you suddenly want to come to Kingsley?"
Zara however fell silent.
As Purple wondered, she heard Zara speak again, "Then, can I go to Pearlpoint with you?"
"Of course, you can..." Purple would not reject a friend and asked with some worry, "Are you alone? I can send someone to pick you up."
"No need, just tell me when, and I'll make my own way there," said Zara.
