Chapter 6 - Interesting

Walking quickly through the grand halls of the Palace Ryu was lost in thought.

'So, my fate is not so good huh? That is truly interesting. To think with my talents I've been sentenced to death so young.'

A beautiful voice called out, covering the entire palace "Ryu, come to your Mother's room, Mom and Dad want to talk."

'Seems they found out, I learned something important.' Ryu thought to himself as a handsome smile spread across his still immature face. Having turned 7 recently his body has of course grown quite a bit. Now standing at 5 feet tall, and having his perfect lean build he is quite the looker. His face having gained the gods favor upon creation.

Knocking on a beautiful white door Ryu entered before any response was given. Ryu's parents looked toward him with worry and sadness hidden in their eye's depths. They knew he learned at least a little of what happened on his birth day.

Sighing, Takashi decided to begin "What all have you heard? We do not want you to leave this room without understanding everything."

Looking into his parent's eyes Ryu seemed to see through them completely. Seemingly understanding everything in under a second.

"I've heard that my fate is to die young. That is all I have really heard."

Nodding Takashi continued, "That is true. The Heavens intervened during your birth and altered your fate. The Heavens believe you should die on a battlefield, very young. What do you think?" A fire lit in Takashi's eyes.

As Ryu heard the question a devilish smile spread across his lips. Die young? On a battlefield? What a joke. If he was gonna die young, might as well make sure he shines bright, brighter than all before him.

"If I'm going to die so young...why don't I live like those bright stars in the night skies...the ones that shine the brightest are the ones that disappear the fastest, isn't that what they say?" A disastrous presence descended as Ryu said those words, completely covering his parents and forcing their feet into the ground.

'That presence...how?! He hasn't even cultivated yet.' They thought simultaneously.

And then the presence all but disappeared, as if it was never there to begin with. Sweat dripped down Lysa's back and Takashi's forehead.

"If that is what you want, then how about we begin truly training you now? Though you cannot control Qi yet, we can enhance your bodily power to a certain base before cultivation. We can also begin teaching you more about the world and help your wisdom grow." Takashi said solemnly, not quite happy this is what path they had to take.

"Little Ryu, you are quite mature for your age, even when compared to other geniuses of the cultivation world. Your wisdom also seems to be astoundingly deep for your age. What do you think of sharpening your mind with your mother?" Lysa smiled, hiding the hurt in her heart.

Closing his eyes to think, Ryu seemed to freeze in time, hundreds of thoughts flashing through his head.

'Why does my very being seem to despise what is happening here? My soul itself seems to be burning in rage...the feeling of wanting to destroy all that look down on me...its rising slowly from the depths of my being...I DONT UNDERSTAND! If the Heavens decided I should die young, then I will die young, what's wrong with that?' Struggling internally, Ryu didn't notice his emotions seemed to leak into his Presence. Feelings of confusion, unwillingness, hatred, rage, they all flashed through Ryu before disappearing once more, leaving Ryu confused about what just happened.

Of course, everything happened so fast Ryu's parents noticed none of it.

"I will of course train to become as strong as possible. And when the day comes for me to enter my final battlefield..." An insane presence descended once more, "...I WILL SHINE THE BRIGHTEST!"

BOOM!

The room exploded, everything within being completely disintegrated, only Lysa and Takashi remained untouched. Looking around the room Ryu seemed confused, but it didn't last long as he realized he was falling forward, losing his consciousness.

'Is this all our ambition gives us? We will allow ourself to be forced into a fate we do not want? We will allow ourself to disappear from the lives of those who love us? IF THAT IS SO, THEN OUR NAME IS NOT RYUTO AMATSUKAZE HOSHINOMORI! OUR NAME IS COWARD! BECAUSE THATS WHAT WE ARE! BOW BEFORE THE HEAVENS?! SHATTER THE HEAVENS! BOW BEFORE A GOD?! KILL THE GOD! ACCEPT SOME BULL SHIT FATE?!?! ECLIPSE THAT FATE!'

---

"What happened? That power that was displayed is beyond anything I've ever seen."

Lysa looked to her husband incredulously, "That's what you're worried about? The power obviously came from within Ryu somehow. This is not what we should be focusing on."

"Then what should we focus on?" Takashi asked confusedly.

Looking like she wanted to put a fist through her husband Lysa continued on, "How about the fact that our son is unconscious. How about the fact that he reacted in this way when he learned of his fate, and accepted it."

Seemingly understanding something Takashi went into a state of absolute focus as he replayed everything that happened in that moment.

Ryu stood still, staring blankly, no wait, anger, anger flashed through his eyes. A deep anger that could shatter everything. It's as if he was angered the Heavens even believed they could control his fate. That's when he fell forward and the room exploded. Hmmm, he is struggling internally with accepting this Fate. But, what is he struggling with? His own beliefs? It doesn't make sense...

Lysa coming to the same understanding as her husband looked toward the calmly sleeping Ryu. He seemed to be the epitome of what the Human race could birth. A flawless entity. So why, why did this so called flawless entity have hard time accepting something he seemly already, well, accepted? Maybe only time would tell.

"He doesn't seem to be injured at all, in fact, his body seems to have gotten stronger. It's almost as if he has refined his body. It's already at the level of someone that has purified their meridians completely and strengthened their body with Qi. That alone should be impossible. Maybe it has to do with his special soul, Afterall, we shouldn't even know his true Talents yet since he has yet to awaken. But fact of the matter is, we can see them."

Technically speaking, it should not be possible for someone to learn of someone else's talents until they awaken. As, that is when the Heavens allow talents to show. Before that, everybody is considered "Talentless". Obviously, this was not the case for Ryu, his talents were laid bare for his parents and anybody that was close to see. As if they would not allow themselves to be hidden. This is something completely unheard of. Usually one learns of another's talents through a stone that can discern certain talents, or by somebody of high cultivation that can see through someone so weak. Obviously, Ryu's parents were of that level, seeing straight through him the moment he was born.

It cannot be stated enough, but such a thing is an act of defiance to the Heavens rules. Obviously it could be seen why the Heavens responded in full force, wanting to instantly suppress Ryu. His very existence defied one of the most fundamental Laws put in place by them. Simply unheard of, unexplainable, astounding.

"I'm going to contact our Grand Ancestor."

Lysa looked up in awe, "You mean..."

"Yes, our Hoshinomori Clan's Founding Ancestor. Perhamps he will have some insight into this. He may be the only one in the entire Universe with enough knowledge to form an opninion on this." Takashi said seriously.

Lysa nodded in understanding, "Should I bring this to my Ancestors as well?"

"No, unfortunately we do not know if we can trust them fully with such a deep secret. Our son's life depends on this."

Sadly Lysa understood what Takashi meant, to say her Clan was completely happy with her marriage to Takashi would be a lie. In fact, there were quite a few with not so kind intentions lurking in the shadows at every moment. Waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

'If those bastards ever try something to harm my son...I'LL KILL EVERY LAST ONE!' Lysa pledged inwardly causing the skies to quake and stars to shatter.
