It was the middle of the summer and a very busy day in the café, I was making coffee at the counter and yes I could because Ken-san taught me how to do it.
Ken-san was serving while I was at the counter making the coffee and billing the people, it was one of the busiest days of my work here, and the café was almost full but it was slowly emptying as the closing hours were near.
It took almost 2 hours more before the place was a little empty and there was still 1hour left before closing, so ken san told me to take a break as there were not as many people.
I reached the staff room or rest room whatever it was called and took a fruit juice from the fridge, yes the fridge was filled with juices and snacks for every staff though the only people working there were Ken-san and me.
I was drinking the fruit juice and was messaging Ichiro about our plan to go hiking, I sat there for half an hour when Ken San came and said that I could go home, and he could manage for the remaining time.
Hearing that I started to change the dress three because I was too tired to go to the washroom to change and it's not like there is anyone here, but that was a grave mistake not on my part.
Just when I took off my clothes and then put on my trousers, the staff room door opened and I looked towards the door, a white-haired girl with purple eyes and round glasses entered the room and our eyes met.
She looked like she had seen a ghost and stood there motionless but then I said "Excuse me but this is the staff room you can't come here"
She was about to say something, but her face suddenly turned a little red because I was standing shirtless.
However, I quickly noticed that and put my shirt back on before saying" I am sorry but you can't enter the form here, it's only for staff.
This time before she could answer, Ken San came from behind me and looked toward the girl while saying" Ichika what are you doing here ".
She looked toward me and then said "Well I was here in the area for some groceries so I came to meet you"
He then looked towards me and said "Akuma, you have never met my daughter right, this is Ichika"
I looked at them and then replied while bowing my head, "Nice t... to meet you ", Fu*k why am I stuttering?
I then left the place as quickly as possible, while I was going home I thought about this encounter with Ichika Kaneki and it was awkward as hell, I mean first she came when I was changing and why was I acting like a love-sick teenager?
Indeed, I did not have a girlfriend in my past life but I am still grown though most of my memories of my past life had faded I can only remember some things I even forgot the whole Tokyo ghoul anime.

I did not have anything planned for that day so I said so and he smiled and replied" That's fantastic, so it's Chika's birthday and I am inviting you"
I just absentmindedly said yes and left the shop.
While I was walking towards my home I was having an inner monologue about why Kaneki san would invite me, I don't think he invites every part-timer, though it could be because Touka-san knows me.
While I was having that inner monologue I entered the bookshop I always enter and was looking for a book on Shadows as I think it can help me improve my powers.
While searching for it I started about what to give as a gift then I remembered I have never chosen a gift for a woman I don't even know what she would like.
When I was thinking that I saw the thing I would need, even though I didn't believe something like this could exist, it was a book titled "100 Things to Not and to Gift women".
I bought it, I mean I could have just asked my mom but I guess that would have been very embarrassing.
I read the book at least till midnight and learned one thing, women are very difficult to understand, and that was all I understood from that book.
And the gift that I chose was a set of necklaces and earrings.
That was the best thing I could think of and the days just skipped to Saturday.
