Beelzebub had never been so thoroughly insulted. He was a prince of hell, and on top of this, he was only below the demon god in terms of power. All other demons had to take the long way around him when they saw him approaching. He was feared and respected. He was the Lord of Flies, and for a devil to demand his surrender was an insult worse than death. In his eyes, only death could wipe away this shame. Since he was not willing to die, he had to kill the insolent fool who dared look down on him.
Kai Syaoran was not surprised when Beelzebub easily healed his wounds and even regrew his wings. With devils and demons, their healing abilities were legendary. Killing a demon or devil was very difficult, and one had to use utmost power to unleash untold destruction upon them. For one such as Beelzebub, normal means would not be enough to keep him down.
