The old man felt as though he had just run into a hard plate. He had not only failed to grasp the true nature of the person he was confronting, but he had also failed to understand his power. As he was about to be decimated with complete impunity, the Thread Prime tried everything in his power to save himself. He released one powerful art after another. He tried to cut through space, only to find that these laws were against him. They would not budge at all. He tried to merge with the river of time so as to flee through this endless river, but even this failed, with the river forcibly ejecting him.
The Thread Prime even tried to shatter his body and flee with his soul, only to find that his soul and body had been locked down.
Fear like nothing he had ever experienced before set in, but it was too late for him to realize the kind of beast he was facing.
After fear came despair and then acceptance.
