Wester Welson had never heard Kevin Cliff refer to Abigail Summer by her full name before; he obediently drove towards the destination.
Since it was summer vacation, Xavier was at home, and Abigail Summer was planning to take him on an outing today. But as soon as they left the house, she saw Kevin Cliff's car returning.
"Mommy, Uncle is back! Can we go on an outing with Uncle?" Even before the car approached, Xavier recognized it and excitedly looked up to ask.
Abigail Summer felt a vague unease; she knew she had gotten drunk alone last night, and when she woke up this morning, she faintly remembered she might have spoken to Kevin Cliff. So, she asked the housekeeper, who said he had not come back, and then she checked her call log. Seeing the dialed number made her heart nearly stop, and in a panic, she called to probe whether she had said anything she shouldn't have.
