"Oh, Anna is always so good to me," Xaviar exclaimed excitedly, while Anna Ainsworth was taken aback. She suddenly realized that, unconsciously, she was always compromising with Xaviar, or perhaps, unknowingly doting on him.
How could this be? He was just a student of hers, not even officially her student, just a child from the training center.
Could it be, just because like her, he also was a child without a mother?

Xaviar held french fries in one hand and a hamburger in the other. He ate a fry and took a bite off the hamburger, his cheeks puffed up as if he was eating the most delicious food in the world.
"Slow down," Anna said softly as she wiped the tomato sauce off his mouth with a tissue; "No one is competing with you, take your time."
"Oh..." Xaviar said, his mouth full from the bite of hamburger he had just taken, pointing at Anna's plate with his finger, "Anna, you eat too. The drumstick burger is really good."
