"...." Anna was at a loss for words for a moment—it seemed that was indeed the case. Connor had no reason to make this matter known to everyone since it wouldn't benefit him.
"Anna, thank you for cooperating with me tonight in my grandmother's ward," Connor said with a look of gratitude. His meaning was to thank Anna for not disclosing that the divorce certificate had already been processed.
"But the truth will come out eventually; she's going to find out sooner or later." Anna shook her head, feeling that deception wasn't the best approach. After all, how long can a deception last?
"I know it's a matter of time, but isn't my grandmother running out of it?" Connor looked at her with pleading eyes. "Anna, could you please cooperate with me during the remaining days of my grandmother's life? Even if it means acting, can you help her pass her last days happily?"
Anna turned her head, frowning at Connor, not sure how to respond when her mobile phone in her bag began to vibrate.
