"What's this?" Scarlett Zimmerman asked as she watched Xavier, who had already run to the tea table and grabbed a bunch of cherries, and then turned her head to question Gale Summer standing beside her.
"This is Xavier, the child of my eldest brother, nicknamed Xaviar," Gale Summer quickly introduced him to Scarlett Zimmerman, "Don't be fooled by his age; though he's only five, he's quite the little schemer—very astute."
Scarlett had heard long before that Jeremy Thompson had a five-year-old child; she finally met him today. The boy was handsome, with a youthful face featuring neatly arranged features, but the way he had just sprinted past her had instinctively made her agree with Gale's description—he was indeed a little schemer!
