Kiara stopped Ruby Lynn from going back.
"If you go now, it's only going to exacerbate the conflict. You might as well not see her and stay here for dinner," Kiara said.
"But..."
"There are no buts. Let my husband talk to your man about it," Kiara insisted.
Ruby Lynn tried every excuse to leave, but she couldn't resist Kiara's overwhelming hospitality and had to stay.
Mother Yuno's dinner was indeed lavish, but after such an incident, Ruby Lynn had no appetite; she forced down a few bites and then sat there in a daze.
"Mom, could you please take care of Wendy for me?" After dinner, Kiara handed her daughter over to Mother Yuno.
"Go ahead, try to talk some sense into her." Mother Yuno knew what her daughter-in-law was about to do, and she patted Ruby Lynn's shoulder, speaking kindly.
"Don't take it to heart. We're not that particular in our family. My son and daughter-in-law are both very reasonable people. Your husband's job won't be affected by this incident, rest assured."
