"All I did was buy a car, do you really have to mock me like this, if you keep it up, I'm going to feel embarrassed..." Carter was chatting with Mrs. Kiara, when suddenly her face changed, and she froze in place.
"What's wrong?" Kiara noticed her distress, and Carter looked around anxiously, her previous ease gone.
"She's nearby, I can feel it..."
This unexplainable twin intuition was something Mrs. Kiara was witnessing for the first time. She followed Carter's gaze and, sure enough, saw a Taxi parked on the side of the road, with Akatenango getting out of the car.
"Why doesn't she drive herself?" Kiara asked, squeezing Carter's hand to bolster her spirits as they watched Akatenango walk towards them.
"She has no sense of direction..."
"Pfft." Kiara burst out laughing. "Which is why you shouldn't idolize anyone too much. Nobody's perfect, right?"
