Chapter 58 - Chapter 58 - Fox's propose

Things were not going well lately for Caspian.

Although there were problems to be solved, he needed to concentrate on the game that was happening. The score was still tied, Akaguia was being pushed by the other team's block.

Shit!

At least the spin finally left the red alpha to the back of the court to serve.

While waiting for the whistle, Caspian took a deep breath trying his best not to let intrusive thoughts get in the way. The weight he felt on his back stole his attention, to the point of wanting to look at the bleachers and make sure that a certain blonde beta would be watching his departure.

You can't!

Focus on the game.

Closing his eyes to resist further temptation, Caspian was relieved when he heard the whistle. So he ran and threw the ball up, being able to jump as much as he could and hit the ball with his strength to throw it across the court. The block was effective, however, their captain was stronger and faster to ensure that the ball fell on the other side.

A point for Akaguia.

The cheering racket filled the gym, and the players finally breathed a little more relief by taking the lead on the scoreboard.

And without realizing it, Caspian turned to the audience as he wiped the sweat from his face with his shirt. His eyes went directly to the first blond-haired guy he found sitting. For his luck, or misfortune, it was precisely the beta that so much bothered his thoughts.

The whole team of Rapoxia was sitting watching his game. Guilherme also watched, being on the side of that omega and the captain of Rapoxia.

— What is it, Caspian? — Adrian asked him, poking his arm.

The red-haired alpha did not respond immediately, he continued to shoot the captain of Rapoxia. Why was he with his arm behind Guilherme?

— I don't like that guy.

— Hm? — Adrian also looked towards the bleachers — Ah, Rapoxia's captain? I don't go with his face either.

Without showing interest in what Adrian wanted, Caspian turned his back on the bleachers and continued with the game.

Since the pool party things were not working out for him.

First was the problem with his credit card. For some reason, Caspian could no longer use his credit cards to make new purchases. And when Caspian called to the bank, they said that they had already dealt with an alleged card cloning problem.

But at no time did Caspian receive invoices showing expenses beyond his own. Although his parents warned that bandits could have various schemes that could deceive Caspian, the alpha still had his doubts. But since they were right, then just followed the bank's protocol.

— Focus on the game! Caspian, ball!

— Yes captain!

Worries and more worries bothered him just when he needed to concentrate on the game. Despite the difficulties, Akaguia managed to win the match thanks to his offensive. Breaking the block was difficult, but when they did it was enough to shake the mood of the rival team.

And so they qualified.

If Rapoxia wins today and tomorrow's matches, the two would face each other next weekend.

After leaving the court, players went to the locker room to pick up their belongings. Caspian just changed his uniform and checked the messages on his phone, which made him even more angry.

— What the fuck!

Pulling his bag, the alpha went out looking for a place to take a deep breath and stay away from the noise of other players. He needed to think and calm down.

While searching for such a place, he soon dialed the number to make a call, which was answered promptly.

— What do you mean you won't be able to fix my car?!

— Man is as I said in the message, we do not have spare parts and need to import them. You know that this kind of piece is expensive, and you said you are having trouble paying...

— And you told me that it was okay to pay later! It's not like I didn't have money, it's just a fucking problem with the bank!

— But of course, I said that thinking it was just a car overhaul, but you need to change some parts and it costs money...

Caspian's head would explode at any moment.

As if the problem with the bank was not enough, his car also decided to enter the scene. Left him on the street for a night, one night only, and some son of a bitch decided to try to steal his car and because he could not do something about it.

And now, what? Didn't have the pieces to continue with the concert?

— Fucking shit...

— What's up Caspian, something happened?

Frightened by the sudden arrival of his captain, Caspian tried to fake a smile despite being a difficult task.

— Just a problem with the bank... soon I will solve it.

Milles crossed his arms while facing the red alpha. He seemed to evaluate it thoroughly to discover any false breach, although Caspian had not lied at all.

— Haa — He sighed, finally — That's why I always warn you not to mess with them.

— What do you mean?

— I hope you solve it soon, although we won, I felt that you were airborne in the middle of the match — Milles approached hugging Caspian by the shoulders — I'm your captain, so I am willing to help you to give your best on the court. If you want to stay away for a few days until your situation normalizes...

— Thank you, Milles, but no need. I'll give my best in the next match.

It was comforting to have the support of his captain, although Caspian did not want to give up participating in the games, since someone from the professional teams could be watching.

Clenching his fists, Caspian comforted and motivated himself. Everything would work out in the end. He was an alpha, and alphas always solved their problems with diligence.

As soon as his captain left him alone again, Caspian messed with his hair as he was about to follow him. They would probably give out some snacks, and the alpha was too hungry just with all that stress.

— Excuse me, you're the Caspian, aren't you?

The alpha turned to find a girl with short brown hair. From the smell she emanated, it must have been an omega. That strange, never saw her although she seems to know him

— And you are?

— Bianca, I'm from the other university, I do administration.

Peeking, Caspian made clear his displeasure at talking to someone from the university of Rapoxia.

— And what do you want with me?

— You know Nathaniel Callegari, don't you?

— Go straight to the point, I have more things to do.

— Everything you're going through is his fault.

Oh, damn. That college was just crazy.

Rubbing the temple, Caspian tried to keep the good manners. Did not want to cause more trouble for your team, especially because they were out of college. At least it was what he had promised to his captain after the pool party.

— Look, if you came here to talk about things that you don't know, you'd better get out.

— Actually I got it through my in-laws — Bianca was talking, turning back where a man in suit and briefcase was quietly watching — My in-laws are worried that my fiancé may be being seduced by Nathaniel.

— And?

— I know it's wrong, but I heard you talking on the phone. I'm sure the problems were caused by him.

— Look I don't have time to...

— I can help you — Bianca insisted approaching the boy — He didn't steal something important from you too?

The first thing that came to Caspian's mind was Guilherme. That damn omega always seemed to have what Caspian wanted most, and it was as if he got them easily.

That was infuriating.

— That guy is seducing my fiance and even threatened me in case I try to stop him.

— And who would be your fiancé?

— The heir of the Mckenzie. Jake Mckenzie, he also plays in Rapoxia.

Was it the guy from the pool party? The one who covered up Nathaniel?

Wasn't he the one who said that Nathaniel was his omega?

— Are you sure it's your fiancé? — asked Caspian.

— But of course! The commitment has already been made between our families. I don't need you to believe this, but I know you'll understand why I'm offering to help you deal with that shameless.

She was basically saying that your problems with the bank were Nathaniel's fault?

It made sense, considering that the last time he made it clear for Caspian to stay away from Guilherme, although this was not his problem.

However, Caspian did not want to rush.

— I can give you some time to think, this is my number — Bianca handed a torn piece of paper to the boy — I'll be waiting for your answer.

And just as her arrival, she quietly left accompanied by the guy in the suit. Caspian looked at a piece of paper and slipped it into the pocket of his shorts.

Strange things kept happening.
