In dealing with the assassination of Alden Martin, Peter Brown became more cautious. He understood that there was a Quasi Saint behind Alden, yet the precise tactics of the Quasi Saint were unknown. Personally carrying out the assassination could risk exposure. Now, with so many Demon Clan experts around, why not let them do the killing?
With this idea in mind, Peter found it easier to proceed.
Occasionally casting a Talisman, a path would appear. Once the path manifested, Alden Martin would encounter a Demon Clan expert, and a fierce battle would ensue between the two.
Alden was puzzled at this point; he discovered that the formation, which previously allowed him free passage, had suddenly altered. No matter which direction he took, he couldn't find the original path. Although it previously took only a few steps to find the path following the Quasi Saint's guidance, now it was utterly unreachable.
Realizing this, Alden's thought was to leave as quickly as possible.
