Although spring had arrived, extending from Jiangnan to Jiangbei, with spring rains floating through the air, that did not include the cold northern wilderness.
Wilderness Mountain was situated at the very northern end of Nanchu, with only a short month of summer-time, while the remaining seasons were filled with winds, rain, and snow, with winter being the longest season, lasting five to six months.
Beyond the cold pines and poplars of Wilderness Mountain, the most abundant trees were birch forests and plum trees.
In March, even the Capital City was enjoying the season of gentle spring breezes, but snow still blanketed every part of Wilderness Mountain, and although the plum blossoms had passed their peak bloom, they were still flowering nonetheless.
However, within the mountain, where the snow was still deep, the small towns were unable to see this sight.
