Many years back Zeriel was nothing but a young prince, naive and stubborn. At the age of ten, he resented his parents for keeping him within the confines of the palace walls. In his eyes, it felt like punishment, not understanding that it was their desperate attempt to protect him. Zeriel was a living testament to a forbidden love between two different races, making him a target for those who sought to eliminate him.
One fateful day, his restlessness got the better of him. Zeriel couldn't resist the temptation to sneak out of the palace. The lush woods outside beckoned to him, and he pursued a cottontail bunny in a carefree chase. Unbeknownst to him, danger lurked nearby.
Suddenly, he found himself surrounded by a group of assassins. Fear gripped him, and before he could react, he was swiftly overpowered and lost consciousness. When he finally opened his eyes, he was no longer in the familiar woods, but confined in a dark, foreboding room.
