"That" was a true monster, a hunting machine imbued with an efficiency-first doctrine and an obsession to exterminate every magician. It was swift, lethal, and its field of view and sensory acuity far exceeded that of flesh and blood. When people thought they were well-concealed, comfortably spying on the battle, the monster had long since mastered and locked onto the hiding places of its prey.
