The six hours passed faster than expected, filled with Bai Shen bouncing between different tables, trading information more than actual goods. Most Leaders wanted to know how a Territory nobody had heard of a month ago ended up ranked first out of ten thousand, and Bai Shen gave vague answers on purpose, not about to hand out his actual strategy to strangers who might turn into enemies later.
Chen Wei and Yun Xia found him about halfway through, their own table apparently sitting somewhere in the low hundreds, which for a Territory their size was still pretty good.
"Didn't expect to see you at the top table," Chen Wei said, grinning as he clapped a hand on Bai Shen's shoulder. "Guess we picked the right guy to be friendly with."
"Luck," Bai Shen said simply, though he doubted it was actually luck at all.
"Sure, luck." Yun Xia rolled her eyes but didn't push further.
