Chapter Four
Ryan Gregory looked coldly at the woman, "Repeat what you just said."
The chill that emanated from him was like the ice of deep winter, so cold that it deterred anyone from further folly.
The moment the woman realized she had support, she wanted to say something, but meeting Ryan's emotionless, icy eyes, she dared not make a sound.
Wilson was smug, "Why aren't you talking now? Weren't you acting all mighty before?"
Those who had been ready to watch a spectacle were now curious to see how the woman would get out of this one.
It was clear to any discerning observer just how much of a disparity there was between Ryan and the man from earlier.
Ryan's brow furrowed, "I seem to have heard you say that my wife was trying to seduce your husband? Him?"
He said this, disdainfully gesturing toward the other man, then pulled Sofia Hamilton into his side, "Do you fancy that sort of man?"
Sofia met his seemingly amused gaze, and a strange feeling swept through her heart.
