Chapter Six
Watching him cluelessly navigating the kitchen, Sofia Hamilton actually felt a bit of joy.
She sat on a high stool, casually flipping through a book she had pulled off the shelf, and said with a laugh, "You're regretting this now, aren't you? There's still time to back out."
Ryan Gregory's lips curved into a slight smile, "This little thing shouldn't be too challenging for me."
He said so bravely, yet...
No one knew better than he did that he had no clue what he was supposed to do.
But that shouldn't be the case.
He always learned things swiftly!
What was he lacking?
He frowned and pondered, finally realizing something.
He lacked a manual!
He smiled and went to get his tablet, pulling up some recipes.
But the more he looked, the more confused he became, until he was completely bewildered.
He had already made bold claims; he couldn't admit defeat, could he?
That would be too embarrassing.
