He tried turning the doorknob, only to find it was locked.
You should know that with her carefree nature, she would never remember to lock the door.
So, if she had locked it, there must be something wrong!
Thinking something might have happened to her inside...
Ryan Gregory's heart suddenly clenched, so tight that he couldn't breathe.
He twisted the doorknob forcefully, even tried to barge in with his body out of desperation, but the door was too well-made; he simply couldn't break it open.
As a result, his anxiety grew even more.
This fool, she wouldn't really have done something silly, would she?
Could she really not see what was in his heart?
He had spoken those words only in the hope of finding something to keep her by his side, to keep her from leaving him.
Because he, too, felt an absence of security in his heart.
He was equally afraid of missing out on another five years with her.
After all, how many sets of five years can be missed in a lifetime?
