He clearly could tell her, so why didn't he?
She had been angry with him more than once for Arthur Baker, and he had never thought to tell her?
Ryan Gregory's lips curved into a faint smile as he tightened his grip on her hand, "To say it and make you upset? You are already by my side, and I don't want to make you unhappy."
What difference would it make to say it...
It would only make her feel that she had misjudged someone again.
"No matter what his intentions are, I have kept you by my side, and nothing else matters."
His words, for some unknown reason, made her feel sad and guilty.
Recalling the countless times she had hurt him for Arthur Baker, her heart felt as if it was being pricked by needles.
She really hadn't realized that Arthur Baker had approached her with an ulterior motive.
After all these years, she had been completely oblivious.
If Brianna Wood was right, then Arthur Baker was still the killer of Clarita Baker.
