She even wanted to get closer to him.
The feeling was just too strange.
With his support, she weakly followed him to the car, where Arthur Baker opened the door for her and made sure she was seated before he walked around to the driver's side.
He got into the car, leaned over to her, and went to fasten her seat belt.
But his sudden closeness made Sofia Hamilton feel even stranger.
It was as if wisps of electricity were running through her body, making her face grow redder and her breathing more hurried.
She even wanted to reach out and grab him.
Yet the last vestiges of reason were reminding her that this wasn't Ryan Gregory.
This was Arthur Baker!
A man who was merely a friend, and with whom other forms of physical contact were not allowed.
Sofia Hamilton shrank back, her spine pressing firmly against the backrest, looking at him somewhat cautiously, "I...I can do it myself."
