Amelia Clarke said, "I don't feel cold."
Owen Moreland didn't say anything. He went upstairs and came back down with a pair of thick cotton socks in his hand. Sitting on the sofa, he lifted Amelia Clarke's feet onto his lap and helped her put on the socks.
Amelia Clarke, seeing his serious expression, laughed and said, "It's warm inside, I really don't feel cold."
Owen Moreland had finished helping her with the socks and said, "Even if you don't feel cold, you still have to keep warm."
Amelia Clarke set down the book, stood up, and nestled into Owen Moreland's embrace, "How come you've suddenly become so fussy? Is it because I'm carrying your three children that you're being so meticulous with me?"
Owen Moreland wrapped his arms around her, "Wasn't I always like this with you?"
Amelia Clarke thought about the more than two months they'd been apart, and with a pout, said, "Of course not. For more than two months, you ignored me completely, not even a single phone call."
