Amanda Smith set her suitcase aside and hurried to pick up Lily Smith, but she was too late. Lily, with swift movements, gave Hadley Morrison a thorough beating right in front of her.
"Little Hadley?!"
Not far away, a woman hurried over; she had just come out of the restroom to find her son missing, which almost made her faint. After searching around, she found him standing by, wiping his mouth, looking indignant.
"Grace!"
Amanda called out to Grace Murdock.
She felt immensely awkward; she had just returned, and her daughter had already beaten up her friend's son.
"What happened here?" Grace looked at her son's flushed face and smoothed his tousled hair, asking with heartfelt concern.
"It's nothing." Being beaten up by a girl, Little Hadley didn't feel like telling! Even though his face hurt, he decided not to tattle to his mommy.
It was too embarrassing!
