Amanda Smith walked over and sat by his bed, "Grace said she wanted to spend some quality time with me, after all, it's been five years since we've seen each other, right? I came back right after dinner, so don't worry."
Samuel Johnson didn't speak but kept touching her hand, his eyelashes drooping, looking somewhat grievously melancholic.
Since he fell ill, he couldn't go out anymore, even though he now wanted to go out to dinner with Amanda Smith, he guessed that she probably wouldn't agree.
"Will you really come back?" he grabbed her hand, looking a bit anxiously at her, "You won't sneak away, will you? Amanda, you know me, what I'm most afraid of now is you..."
"Samuel." Amanda Smith gripped his hand tightly, gently saying, "Trust me, I won't leave again."
