"You two..." She glared at the two lying in bed, one big and one small, Lily Smith munching on a banana and Samuel Johnson gnawing on an apple, both seemingly with hearty appetites.
"Amanda, who brought these fruits?" asked Samuel Johnson. "They taste really good, and both Lily and I love them."
Amanda Smith picked up the banana peel and threw it into the trash can. "When I stepped out earlier, I ran into Tim Morrison and Grace. It was Tim who brought them for you."
"Oh, that lad..." Samuel nodded, tossing the apple core to the side, "Where are they now? Why didn't they come by?"
"We just chatted for a bit, and Tim said..."
Before she could finish, the door was pushed open from the outside. Tim Morrison and Grace Murdock, who originally said they wouldn't come, appeared at the entrance of the ward. Samuel let out a "yo" and picked up a banana to throw, which Tim caught just in time.
"Damn, I just arrived and you're ambushing me already? Is this how you treat a brother?"
