Evan Willow glanced at her indifferently. In that glance, Rosalie Hart distinctly felt a temperature drop.
When Amanda was there, his tenderness was outpouring, but after she left, his tenderness became blurry, and with a real comparison, this aspect of his character seemed very transparent.
The gentleness she had always thought she perceived, when compared to the gentleness this man was truly willing to show another woman, was vastly different.
So much so, that it was like the distance between a spring day and an autumn day.
Evan Willow turned his head slightly, his pale eyes glanced at Rosalie Hart, and then, after appearing to think for a moment, he said, "Maybe in my mind, her happiness is more important than my own."
"As long as she can be happy, then I hope she can always maintain that happiness. Even if she doesn't like me, it doesn't matter."
