Mo Ying briefly recounted his understanding of the universe's rules to Feng Yi, stating that the existence and proliferation of all things in the universe are relative. Birth and destruction are both accidental and inevitable because without suffering, there would be no joy. Flowers blossom and then wither; a person's life is much longer than the blooming and fading of a flower. From the moment of birth, humans are constantly heading towards decay. However, if we compare this with the extensive life cycle of the universe, this point in time appears very brief.

In these precious few decades or centuries, regardless of what is gained or lost, everything will eventually turn to eternal rest and decay, whereas only the value of creation will be continued. If human civilization ceases to advance, there are certainly two inevitable reasons—selfishness and laziness.

Selfishness leads humans to deceive each other, wasting precious time on meaningless issues.
