The consensus at the cattle ranch was soon reached, selling beef wasn't as good as selling beef jerky.
The beef was certainly of good quality but the selling price had always been low, plus it wasted a lot of manpower and resources from the ranch. Originally, only a few cattle were slaughtered at one time, now the number of slaughters was increasing, so was the amount of beef, and consequently, more people came to fetch the beef.
So many people coming to fetch beef, the additional customers were mainly from other counties—nowadays transportation is dominated by farm trikes, and the cost of fuel isn't expensive, traveling an extra hundred or two hundred li can earn quite a bit more, so there were plenty willing to do it.
