His eyes widened, and he was surprised to receive the notification as it was the second time he got a new Trait.
Although, this trait is a bit different from the one he got a few days ago. The Traits he got back then were Enhanced Speed, Agility, and Enhanced Intelligence.
This new trait he got was different from the two of them. This one was related to the usage of firearms, as he could feel that his hand was more accurate and precise when using a gun.
"Interesting." He thought.
Now that the trait is unlocked, he should have the basic knowledge and experience in using firearms. Whether it's a handgun or a sniper rifle, he could use it freely.
He didn't expect that he would be able to obtain a new Trait at a time like this, and the way he got it is through increasing his and Fiona's chemistry.
This is quite intriguing, as he thought that he could only get it from Yor. But now, it's not limited to just her.
Spending time together with Yor gave him his previous traits as he spent time together with her, and the corresponding traits he got were pretty much the same as she has.
Maybe it was the same case when he spent his time together with Fiona since she was a WISE agent and proficient in many kinds of weaponry.
It gave him the trait of marksmanship, and he can now freely use a firearm. Although, it's not like he can't use a gun in the first place. But it's more about accuracy, precision, and the rate of fire.
He looked back at Fiona and saw her sleeping. He smiled. She was sleeping soundly, and her expression was much calmer than usual.
He then left the room and closed the door. He is going back to the hotel, where Yor was waiting for him.
As he was walking back, he was thinking about Yor. He had suspected that she was doing her own things alone by herself to find Anya.
He already knew that Yor was an assassin, given he had watched the anime before, and she would always hide that side of her personality from the public.
Given the situation now that Anya was kidnapped, she might have resorted to that side of hers to find her.
She was worried and desperate. And it's understandable.
Yor might have done her own investigation lately when he was away from the hotel room. Maybe she was following the clues that led to the kidnapper or something like that.
It was weird for her to be so exhausted just by doing nothing in the hotel room. So he already suspected that she was moving on her own.
He actually doesn't mind that she does that by herself, knowing how protective Yor can be when Anya is in danger.
Although he has doubts that Yor would find anything regarding the case of Anya, knowing that this is a foreign world for her and she barely knew anything about it.
She might have found some clues, but he doesn't know how big is it going to benefit her. Having this in mind, he just shrugged off the idea.
After all, he was close to finding Anya right now. All he needed to do now was to plan out how to save her later at the location that was informed.
All he needed to do left was talk it out with Fiona later about the plan to save her and bring Anya back to Yor's side.
For now, all he needs to do is to go back and sleep.
He then reached the hotel. When he got inside the room, he saw Yor sitting on the couch with her eyes closed.
Yor's eyes snapped open, and she saw him entering the room, "You're back."
"Yeah." Noah nodded and smiled at her, "How was your day?"
"It was okay. Just waiting for your return." She replied, "You were out for quite a long time. Did something happen?"
"Well... you can say that." He chuckled as he put away his coat.
He walked toward Yor and started to sit on the couch next to her, "It's been a rough day."
She looked at him, and she noticed that his hand was slightly wounded and there was a scratch on his left cheek.
Her eyes widen, "What happened? You're injured."
Hearing this, he chuckled and heaved his chest, "Well, both me and someone were searching for Anya all day to find something interesting."
He leaned back and looked up to the ceiling, "Well, we went to somewhere that could lead to her finding but got into a little bit of trouble."
"Trouble?"
"Nothing too major." He replied and just looked at her, "It was just an unfortunate situation that occurred. We encountered a situation in which we were trapped and attacked."
He shrugged, "But it's not that bad. I could fend them off, and both I and the other person with me were safe. So it's not that serious, and we got what we wanted."
"That's a relief..." Yor sighed.
He could see the worry and concern on her face, and it was quite obvious that she was concerned for him and was relieved that he was back safely.
He just smiled at her, "Sorry for making you worried. But it's really nothing major."
"Well... if you said so..." She replied with a smile, "I'm glad you're back safely. And you find the clue to find Anya, right?"
"Yeah. We did find where they kept her, like the location and everything."
Hearing this, Yor was overjoyed and happy. She was excited and glad they finally knew where Anya was, and soon, she would be reunited with her daughter.
"I'm assuming that you will go and rescue her tomorrow?" She asked.
"Yep. After all, we needed to save her as fast as possible before they knew what had happened back there. So we have to take action and finish the job."
"Then..." She was hesitating and didn't know how to ask this.
Noah looked at her and rubbed her cheek, seeing her expression, "Don't worry, I'm sure Anya will be fine. I will bring her back, and I will keep her safe."
"I'm sure she is doing her best and okay right now."
Yor smiled and nodded. Hearing his assurance, she was glad and relieved. She felt safe knowing that her daughter was safe and would be back to her.
She felt safe knowing that she had him on her side. That was something that made her glad and relieved.
He smiled and laughed a little, "Now, now. No need to be so sappy about it for now. Let's just take this time for both of us to relax."
Hearing this, Yor seemed to remember something.
"Ah! The food!"
She stood up and quickly went to the table. She had bought the food and left it on the counter. She had completely forgotten to warm it up.
Noah just laughed a little, and seeing this. Seeing this side of her makes him happy.
"I completely forgot about the food that I told you before. Sadly, it's a bit cold right now. But don't worry, I can heat it up for us." She said while warming up the food.
"It's fine. Thank you, sweetheart."
Seeing her working in the kitchen, Noah couldn't help but admire her beauty. Her red ruby eyes, her long black hair, her slim body. She was simply perfect.
"Here you go. I found a restaurant that you might like."
She gave him the food, and they were sitting at the dining table. Both of them were eating, and Yor couldn't help but notice the look on his face.
They were simply eating their dinner together. While it was simple, it was a good time for both of them. Just enjoying each other's company is something that everyone should savor at that moment.
