She swallowed in nervousness as the elderly people stared intently at her. [wait don't they like her] she shrank her neck at the awkward silence.
"Are you Kimberly" the old man suddenly asked her while she nodded. Suddenly she felt her self being engraved in a tight embarace.
Blink..... blink..... blink
It took Kimberly five seconds to finally realize that she had been hugged by the old woman.
"Thank you very much, for bringing our baby boy back to us, and for accepting him" the old woman spoke gradually in a broken English, it was obvious that she wasn't an English speaking person. However, she speaks fluently.
"I and my wife are grateful for bringing our grandson home after so many years, this you very much Kimberly" the old man concluded.
Kim sighed in relief, she never believed that she would get a warm acceptance from his family. She expected drama like the typical rich family in movies where they would reject the lady because she wasn't rich, but this wasn't like that.
"Wa tā tài kě'àile" mrs Chen teases Alex in Chinese [ wow she's so pretty].
Just then a maid came to notify them that the food was ready.
"Let's go eat my dear, you must be starving" the old woman told Kim.

The dinner was great and thankfully none of them irritated her pregnancy hormones. However, they all kept staring at Kim who ignored other fruits to request for lemons as she ate them happily.
"What's wring dear, why don't you any other fruit, don't you like them ?" Kimberly blushed not knowing how to respond to mrs Chen, thankfully Alex helped her.
"Grandma, she's pregnant, were expecting our first child together" Alex made the big announcement in English not wanting Kim to feel left out.
The jaw of everyone dropped, and later a squeal came from a Chen.
"I didn't expect it to be soon, I thought I would die before seeing you have a child" mrs Chen squeal in happiness.
"That's nice daughter, I'm happy to see my great grand child before I die, we would be great grandparent wife. Our Moyun has made us proud" mr Chen said holding his wife's hand lovingly while staring at this grandson and granddaughter with tears of joy in his eyes. He had waited long enough for this news and God has finally put a smile on his face.
"What death, nobody is dying anytime soon, you'll be alive and healthy to take care of your great grand child grandpa" Kim said reassuringly with a smile to me Chen.

AFTER DINER
Alex and Kim we're separated as Alex was to discuss with grandpa Chen, so obviously Kim had to stay with grandma Chen.
"Dear come...come... I want to show you something" grandma Chen tried her best to communicate in English even if it was broken. And Kim knowing fully well that she was a Chinese speaking person tried to understand why she was saying.
Grandma Chen led her to the garden where three graves laid there, the graves were covered with beautiful flowers growing around it.
" this is Moyun's father, mother and brother, I assume he has told you about them" grandma Chen asked while Kim nodded.
"Time really flies but the memories are like yesterday" grandma Chen sighs
"It was painful retrieving your children's and grandson's dead bodies and burying them the same day. In just one day I lost almost everyone I call a family" grandma Chen said while tears fell from her eyes making Kim hold her palm comfortingly.
" Kim....Kimberly you remind me so much of Moyun's mother bei wei, she was kind,cheerful,committed and was able to bring out the the best in my son, she was able to bring him out of his shadow, and that alone made me love her. It's just a shame that she died such a tragic death, if not she would have loved you. Look Kimberly honestly I was against you and Moyun's relationship before now, but seeing how happy he is I just can't do it. But there's something you need to know" grandma Chen paused.
"What is it grandma" Kim asked.
"Moyun.... this...this family is a mafia family, we have lots of enemies that will stop at nothing to bring you down or kill you. Honestly I like you for Moyun but it will be selfish of me to take away your once peaceful life from you just to be with my grandson. I won't be able to handle it if you or Moyun dies like his parents. This family has a lot of enemies, so your movements will be restricted, you get to train and kill all the days of you log so that you won't be killed, do you want that kind of life for your self ?" Grandma Chen asked with concern.
Kim paused understanding where the concern was coming from.
" I know the kind of family Alex is from, and I promise to stand by him in everything. I love Alex so I'm willing to become even stronger to defend myself, him and our future family. Kim assured grandma Chen making the old woman hug her in gratitude.
"Thank you very much dear, thank you for the sacrifices you're about to make. My heart is at peace that my baby is in safe hands. Look I know Moyun is not the romantic kind of person but pls don't leave him okay. Xie shiyin told me that you could be Moyun's cure, he'll break without u" grandma Chen said.
"Grandma I promise you that not going anywhere and pls stop crying you're making me emotional" Kim pouted playfully.

Meanwhile, Alex and grandpa Chen were seated in a Chinese style study talking randomly about business and other things.
"Mó yún de yèwù zěnme huì?" Grandpa Chen asked — (Moyun how is the business going ?)
"Yéyé shēngyì hěn hǎo" Alex replied—( business is going well grandpa)
"Qítā shìqíng zěnme yàng?" Grandpa Chen asked with a raised brow —( how about the other business? )
"Hé píngcháng yīyàng, dàochù dōu yǒu dírén xiǎngfāngshèfǎ shā sǐ wǒ" Alex shrugged his shoulders as he sipped his wine. __ ( well as usual,enemies here and there looking for ways to kill me)
"Nǐ de nǚhái, nǐ duì tā yǒu duō rènzhēn,Tā shìfǒu yuànyì fàngqì píngjìng de shēnghuó, qù zhuīqiú nǐ de shìjiè, Nǐ zhīdào cānyù wǒmen de shìjiè de fēngxiǎn"—( your girl, how serious are you with her ? Is she willing to leave her peaceful life for your own world, you know the risk of being involved in our world) grandpa Chen asked making Alex hesitate in his thoughts for a while.
[ was Kim willing to take the relationship further, will she abandon her life for his chaotic one, what if something bad happens to her like his parents ?] Alex has countless thoughts flowing in his head.
