Samtreina is the biggest out of the three towns I have visited so far with a land area of about 4 square miles with an approximate population of around 17,000 people at most. Based on my little shopping spree last night, they most likely have trading agreements with many wandering merchants and nearby towns since the variety of items available in the markets far surpass that of what's available in Anfang and Duha combined.
As for the inhabitants' quality of living, it is even better than Duha because of the very lively economy. It would not take an expert to observe it from the lively night market, the type of material used in the clothes that people are wearing and the type of materials used to construct houses and other types of buildings. The people generally have more money to spare not just with their basic needs but they could splurge a little bit on their wants too.
