When her father came back he was scared, there was a shocked expression on his face. He made eye contact with her mother as if trying to pass a message they didn't want the little girl to know.
"Venessa please go hide in your room and don't come out or make a noise no matter what." The girl's mother urged her.
"Is everything alright?" The girl asked with a frightened voice. She was confused by what was happening.
"Everything is fine my love. Don't worry after this we will celebrate your birthday tomorrow. So now be a good girl and listen to mummy."
The girl nodded and rang upstairs to her room obeying her parents' Instructions. She got inside her room closed the door behind her then crawled under her bed to hide.
The girl didn't know how long she hid there but all she could see were strange noises and arguments from downstairs. She braced her mouth with her hands to prevent her from making a sound while her entire body was shaking.
