"Then what the hell caused these bruises?" with her index finger, she hovers over the darkened circle line that extends around Clarice's ankle.
Rosemary moves on to the second ankle only to find the same mark printed across. Although it is hard to determine the exact color of the bruises, The depressions that formed on her skin surrounded by swelling display the deepest shades, fading the further away from them I look. A clear indication that she'd been shackled for a considerable amount of time.
"Are you sure she wasn't detained? Because that's not the only odd thing here,"
"What do you mean?" I focus on her furrowed eyebrows as her gaze moves from Clarice's ankles to her bloody clothes.
"I can't tell the exact shade of the blood stains, it seems to have dried up, but it's not that dark yet and…," she trails off, shaking her head very slowly, eyes traveling up and down Clarice's cadaver.
"And what?" I urge her when she takes too long to continue.
