During Hyang and Perlmut's long stay in the city, enjoying entertainment after their journey to the north, somewhere else in an Asian pagoda Siheyuan.
The merchants' pagoda Siheyuan, which is outside and away from the city, is infested with such insects.
In the garden of the Siheyuan and inside of it, groups of bug creatures are crawling about and around. Within the Siheyuan, there is, as well, in her room, inside of a drawer, a small girl. It is the daughter of the rich merchant, holding her mouth shut with a terrified expression on her face. Alongside her in the room, there are two such creatures, seemingly aggressive but mostly brainless.
The father of the girl, Kronkostos, bought "special" armor and weaponry after the last encounter with the bandits, only because he was pushed to do so by the suspicious merchant.
Now seeing his pagoda Siheyuan from afar, he sees what's going on and prepares himself. As the coach gets close to the Siheyuan, he tells the coach driver to take leave. And enters his Siheyuanas grounds after, looking badass in the armor he bought from a suspiciously glassed👓 person who told him his name is Condriano after he bought everything. He only bought those from him after their quality was proven to him. If he wanted to or not, however, didn't matter regarding his choice.
Kronkostos: *It was an unbelievable surprise to me that Condriano was actually an honest man. I would have bought it without him proving and showing me how these artifacts work just because he was too powerful to risk offending. But he did persist in explaining it to me in detail. In fact, he was so persistent that he even made me write a test on how to use it after his explanation... Multiple times at that... He didn't let go of me until I had no mistakes in my answers. It truly wasn't easy to memorize anything back there considering how stressed out I was. Even after realizing he was honest, couldn't be helped, he could read my thoughts after all.*
Now looking quite like Doomguy with a shotgun, he starts blasting at the slightly humanoid looking, grotesque bug creatures.

Having noticed that the bug creatures have been lured by this loud noise. She prepares to leave, however-
"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAA"
A bone shivering and deafening scream goes through the halls in front of her room. Pressured under the creature's killing intent is the whole Siheyuan. It forces the girl onto her knees, causing her to cower on the ground and holding her ears even during this pressure.
Pronzos Kronkostos, her father, now close by, screams: "FAIREMINE, I'M HERE! DON'T YOU WORRY."
As a bunch of those creatures take a jump on him, one can see the hall filled with these creatures.
Among them, in its midst, is one smarter and stronger looking bug creature at the location that that deafening scream came from.

On a mountain of corpses, heavily exhausted, he stands, only him and the elite bug creature left. The creature, seeing that Kronkostos has gotten severely weakened by the numerous waves of monstrous creatures with incestuous features, makes its move. He, not having realized that there was still one standing fast enough, only reacts to it as it is already up close.
"Luis?"
Looking at the butler's clothes as he utters those words. The creature, piercing through the worn out armour, breaking through the coloured wood, stands in dominance. The girl's father promptly points his barrel at the head of this creature, which it swiftly grasps,

destroying the front of the wooden barrel. Unable to cleanly rip off the broken wood pieces from the still working part of the shotgun, the creature lets go of the shotgun and has the pierced Kronkostos slide off of its arm. Now changing its focus towards the girl standing there, looking, being shocked while holding her hand in front of her mouth. While the creature makes gleeful bug skittle noises. In its arrogance it doesn't even occur to it that her father is still desperately holding on to the shotgun.
"BOOOOOOOOM"
It echoes as he presses the trigger and the shotgun explodes. Now having lost his arm as well, he tumbles down the mountain of corpses while the creature's parts fly everywhere, with only its legs left lying on top of the corpse mountain.
Having survived for but a moment more thanks to the armor, he hears his daughter scream in tears.
Pronzos Milli: "FATHEEER!!"
Running over to him while crying, she stands before him thanks to the monster, which let him slide off in her direction with a gleeful display of horror. Which made Kronkostos tumble down towards his daughter after the ricochet of the explosion. Thanks to that, she doesn't have to climb over the dangerous mountain of corpses to get to her father, avoiding sharp claws and after_death movements of these creatures.
Now somewhat holding him tied, she cries while saying "Father" over and over again.
"My little Infanta, it seems it is now on you." 'cough' "I'm sorry." 'cough' 'cough'
As her father stops blinking, she closes his eyes while crying over him without end, with thoughts like, *Why did this have to happen!? We only just escaped our death not too long ago.*
