By midday, Christian arrives at the restaurants just in time to meet his friends, who are already there, chatting and enjoying some light conversation. As he walks in, he can see that Lucas and Henrique are deep in discussion about something—probably about the night before, knowing them. Christian walks over to them, nodding in greeting.
"Hey, guys," Christian says, sliding into a seat at the table.
Lucas looks up with a raised eyebrow. "There he is, the man of the hour. You sure you're feeling alright after last night?"
Christian grins but rubs his temple, feeling the dull throb of his hangover. "Barely," he admits. "But I'm surviving. It was a long night."
Henrique chuckles, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "We noticed. You really held your own, though. I'm impressed."
Christian laughs, then takes a deep breath. "Yeah, well, sometimes it's good to let loose every once in a while, right?"
