Silas gives a rough laugh. Unafraid, but there's a sparkle of respect in his hazel eyes I haven't seen in them until now.
"Here I was wondering when you'd show your spirit."
He smirks and lifts his chin, rolling his shoulders. As if he's getting comfortable with the blade against his neck. "I almost forgot how entertaining you were."
Lucas remains unmoved.
"Let's talk deals." Silas says in a low rumble. As if he were the one still in control, the one holding the knife to a throat.
"Let's." Lucas' grip on the throwing knife in his hand tightens.
"My opening bid is that I don't cut you open. You don't give me the information and as far as I can tell that's the same result as just killing you now. So I think that's a fair exchange. Don't you?"
"Compelling offer." The man chuckles, eyes narrow.
"And what do you offer to keep me from cutting Eliza to pieces while you're tracking down the Tear? Even if I'm dead, my men will make that happen for you, I assure you."
