May leads us to a pond I hadn't even noticed in town before this.
It's not 'in town', though. It's a short distance away, and in the opposite direction from where Cyril - now Celeste's - tower stood. So it made sense.
However, the edges of the water aren't too sharp or steep, so I'm not too worried about May getting close to it to skip rocks with Lucas.
"How do I do it...?" May asks as she tosses a flat rock into the center of the lake.
It plops into the lake with a sad little ripple, and May pouts.
Lucas kneels down in front of May and reaches down to pet her hair.
"Here, honey. I'll show you how." He demonstrates. "See, it has to be a really flat, round stone. A thin one. The thinner and rounder the stone, the farther it will go. Watch closely..."
May leans forward intently and watches him flip a flat rock with practiced ease and skill, sending it sailing across the water's surface with an almost musical sound before sinking beneath the surface in a trail of rippling wakes.
